SPC's Troll-caught Chum Salmon are harvested throughout Southeast Alaska.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Chum Salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) are also known as Keta Salmon. The average weight is around 8 pounds and they can grow to be 25 to 27 pounds. Chum Salmon survive and thrive in the rich ocean waters of Southeast Alaska on a natural bounty of herring, squid, shrimp and krill. They are harvested when natural oil content, color and texture are at their peak.
Frozen specifications: Dressed (gutted), head-off (H&G) size grades are 9#/Up, 6/9#, 4/6#, and 2/4#. Frozen fillets and portions are also available. Recommended holding temperature for maximum shelf life is -10°F.

When are SPC Troll Chum Salmon Available?
The Alaska Summer Chum Salmon season generally opens the beginning of July and closes towards the end of September. SPC Fresh-Frozen Chum Salmon is available throughout the year.
