SPC Alaska Troll King Salmon
SPC offers the following fresh, frozen and FAS products:
Head On Red King Salmon are graded by the following sizes: 20#/Up, 11/20#, 7/11#, and 4/7#. Most head-on fish are sold into the fresh markets however if you have a need for frozen head-on we will be happy to accomodate you.
Head On Ivory (White) King Salmon are very special and limited, making up less than 5% of the total Troll King catch in Alaska. Most of these special Kings are snatched up quickly in the fresh market, although we generally have a small inventory of frozen White Kings Available.
Headed & Gutted King Salmon are graded by the following sizes: 18#/Up, 11/18#, 7/11#, and 4/7#.
Headed & Gutted Ivory (White) King Salmon are very rare indeed. Not only are they a very small percentage of the Alaska Troll King catch, most of these prized fish go quickly into the fresh market. Those that do make it to the freezers are graded by the following sizes: 15#/Up, 10/15#, and Under/10#.
Skin-on, vacuum-packed King Fillets, sold under our exclusive ALASKA GOLD™ brand, are the industry’s premier single-frozen King fillets available. Perfect for both retail and food service, each fillet is cut, vacuum-packed and frozen within minutes of the fishing boat landing at the SPC dock. Alaska King fillets average 5 pounds and are cut from whole Kings in the range of 11/18#. Ask for ALASKA GOLD™ King fillets direct or from your favorite seafood distributor. On request, we can provide White King fillets as well.
Frozen-at-Sea (FAS) King Salmon are the highest quality wild frozen salmon available. SPC has a special group of fishing boats that freeze their troll-caught salmon right on board the fishing vessel for maximum freshness and quality. FAS Headed & Gutted (H/G) Red King Salmon size grades are: 18#/Up, 11/18#, 7/11# and 4/7#. FAS H/G White King Salmon size grades are: 15#/Up, 10/15#, and Under/10#.
