  • Following is a brief summary of our daily work rules. It is mandatory reading prior to employment. After you have read, understand and agree to these company policies we will consider your application for employment. These are general policies and guidelines only and are not all inclusive. The following does not constitute any contractual commitment between Seafood Producers Cooperative (SPC), its employees or applicants, nor does it modify the prevailing employment-at-will relationship. A more detailed Employee Handbook is distributed to all new employees and is available for you to read prior to applying, upon request.
  • TARDINESS AND ABSENCE: Each employee's job has a direct effect on the successful flow of production. You should be at your work station ready for work at the designated start of your shift. If you are unable to report for work promptly you must notify your supervisor PRIOR to the start of the shift. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism (excused or unexcused) will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.
  • REQUIRED GEAR: Each employee must provide their own boots and rain gear and be responsible for cleaning them each night. Gloves, liners, aprons, hair and beard coverings are provided by SPC.
  • ALCOHOL, DRUGS, TOBACCO: Use of, consumption, possession, sale and/or distribution of drugs and/or alcohol on company premises, including the bunkhouse, are grounds for immediate termination. Seafood Producers Cooperative reserves the right to initiate drug testing or searches without prior notice but will not do so without just cause. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
  • Current pay scale: 0 - 1000 hours @ $10.00/hour; 1001 - 2000 @ $10.75/hour; 2001+ @ $11.50/hour. Overtime (time and a half) is paid for hours worked in excess of 8 hours in one day, over 40 hours in a regular work week, and hours worked on a designated holiday.
  • Each pay period covers two full weeks and begins with the start of the day shift on Monday and ends with the completion of the night shift on Sunday. Paychecks are distributed in the main office after 10:00 am on the Friday following the end of the second work week.
